The St. Andrew Alumnae Association incorporated, New York chapter contributes to the educational and cultural development of current and former students of St. Andrew High School for Girls, Kingston, Jamaica, who reside in Jamaica and the Tri-State Area. In order to do this, our association’s mission is to:
Establish a network of former students of St. Andrew to foster good relations among each other, and provide a support group of positive role models. Promote interest in, and perpetuate the goals and ideals of St. Andrew, which emphasize the importance of the role of education in economic and cultural empowerment. Engage in fundraising activities to assist needy students at St. Andrew, and to make donations to deserving charities in Jamaica and in the United States of America. Promote Programs to stimulate the intellectual interest of members of the Association and members of the local community on matters related to education and culture. Provide leadership and assistance to Jamaican organizations towards addressing some of the social and educational problems experienced by students migrating to the United States of America.
